Meet Us

Hi, I’m Stephanie Say (Brainspotter/Coach)

I’m a licensed professional clinical counselor and coach (LPCC-S in Kentucky, LCPC in Illinois, IMHP) specializing in helping students and professionals overcome test anxiety and performance-related stress. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brainspotting, mindfulness, and other integrative mind-body approaches, I help clients identify and release the mental, emotional, and physiological blocks that interfere with focus and confidence.

My approach is compassionate and practical—grounded in nervous system regulation and tailored to each person’s unique needs. Together, we work to calm anxiety, build self-trust, and develop strategies for clarity, resilience, and optimal performance—both during tests and in everyday life.

Hi, I’m Jake Batts. (Tutor/Brainspotter)

I’ve been working as a tutor for over 8 years now, and I originally got into Brainspotting as a way to help my students overcome their test anxiety. Before I worked as a tutor, I went to Purdue University, where I graduated with a degree in Neurobiology and Genetics, which is another reason brainspotting fascinated me.

Professionally, I’ve tutored SAT/ACT prep, as well as nearly any subject at the middle school or high school level. I’ve worked with some students in their first years of college to great effect as well. I have experience with most of the high school entrance exams throughout the country.

In my free time, I love to be outdoors and active with my dog, Fonzo. I love listening to music, playing video games, and watching sports as well. I’ve been getting into gardening as of late.

I have a passion for helping students work through their individual problems when it comes to the testing in our education system. I’d love to help make a greater change to the way our education system tests if I ever get the chance.
