Brainspotters

Hi, I’m Stephanie Say

I’m a licensed professional clinical counselor and coach (LPCC-S in Kentucky, LCPC in Illinois, IMHP) with years of experience helping clients lower anxiety, improve performance, and find greater clarity in moments of pressure and transition. I specialize in supporting students and professionals who struggle with test anxiety, performance blocks, and self-doubt that interferes with their goals.

Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brainspotting, mindfulness, and other evidence-based and intuitive approaches, I help people identify the thoughts, emotions, and body responses that keep them stuck in cycles of stress or perfectionism. Together, we build awareness and tools for calming the nervous system, sharpening focus, and reconnecting with a sense of confidence and inner steadiness.

I’ve seen how empowering it can be when someone learns not only how to manage anxiety, but how to truly understand it—and use that insight to perform with more ease, authenticity, and purpose. My goal is to help you show up as your calmest, clearest self—whether that’s in the testing room, the workplace, or everyday life.

On top of tutoring throughout my years, I sought out a way to help those students of mine where I felt like I couldn’t get them past this final wall that kept cropping up. I didn’t have any sort of way of dealing with a student’s test anxiety. I got involved with brainspotting to help remedy this.

Since I’ve gotten involved in brainspotting, it has helped me immensely with my anxiety and with everyday coping mechanisms. I have first-hand experience with all the good it can do for someone.
